I loved the poems, I guess my bridge is my sister she is always taking me places and forcing me to try new things.

P.S. Why is their not an Emily Roebling movie?

The students should try to look for a publisher and have the profits donated to their school.

Great Job...Montessori...When I gave up hope in the Public School System, a ray of light enabled me to be optimistic once more.

I was on vacation in NYC this summer. Walking across the bridge was something I did on a whim. When I met your class on the bridge I realized that NYC is one of he nicest cities on earth. The students were so excited to tell me what they knew about the bridge. Thanks for the book! It was one of the highlights of my trip.

Doing the summer program and building a model of the brooklyn bridge and actually going to the bridge was a good experience. It was a little fun but it required a lot of patience and hard work. But im glad I got to experience it with my school and my friends.

Doing the summer program and building a model of the brooklyn bridge and actually going to the bridge was a good experience. It required a lot of hard work and patience. I could tell that the teachers really wanted us to work hard and really earn the credits we needed. I would definitely go back to the bridge but only at night. It was a good experience and im glad we got it done.
Thank you,

Wish I could have seen the booklet you mentioned or met up with these wonderful students.

I remember when I first started taking pictures, I wasn't sure how to go about it or whether I was wasting my time. But then something happened I started seeing my pictures and how other people liked them and I began to learn more about it through books and museums.

The Brooklyn Bridge is a place that I keep going back to because every picture I've ever taken has always been different. It's been different because my mood was different, the time of day and weather was different and the location or perspective from which I took the pictures was different. This lead me to want to learn more about the history of the Brooklyn Bridge.

That in turn lead me into wanting to learn more about famous bridges which lead me to learn more about Architecture, specifically NY Architecture.

Again, how I wish I would have been able to hear these wonderful students share their knowledge with me. There's always, ALWAYS more to learn.

when working on this project i had alot of fun. and i was really excited that my work was put into the book for people to read. i enjoyed working for the pass two weeks on the brookllyn bridge. i learned alot about bridges but mainly about suspension brigdes. the other day we (me and my family)was heading some where where we need to cross the bridge and i was so hype to tell everyone about bridges and share the knowledge that i'v in took from this program.
when we was handing out the booklets i was hype and scrared of the height but i was happy to share the knowledge. there was people who did not want to take the books but there are going to be stubborn people no matter what. but i love when i was walking to the other side and i saw people reading. you dont understand how good i felt....:-]

when working on this project i really enjoyed myself and i leaned alot of thing that i did not know about. and after this program i talked about bridges alot and about the cassion to the point that my sister was getting annoyed but happy that i learned something. the other day me and my family was crossing some kind of bridge and i was mad hype to tell them (more my little niece who was the only one paying me mind)about the bridge and the different types of bridges.
when handing out the booklets i was happy that people was really reading what i wrote and what my class mates wrote. there was people who when we was handing out the books being a little mean (how can they say no to us :-{) and not taking the time to read our booklets that we worked hard on... but hey there are stubborn people what can we do about that... nothing... and the best part about it was that my article was put in there.... how happy was i.... reall happy :-}

I just had a chance to re-read the Brooklyn Bridge booklet and had to log on to say how impressed I am with the compelling work. One thing that really stuck out to me that day was how students were able to answer my questions in a thorough way. They were genuine and seemed to really delve into this project seriously. I've shown it to several friends who have complained about education in NYC -- just to show them that there are great things happening out there (and great kids). Thank you!

My husband and I were visiting NY city on July 14th and took a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. We were given the booklet made up by the students. Upon returning home to a small town in Ohio (5000 people) I sat down and read the booklet. It was very informative with lots of good info about the consturction of the bridge. I can say I enjoyed everything about the booklet. What a great project and what an incredible job the students did with this. We were most impressed.
We come to NY city at least twice a year to visit our oldest daughter who lives there and we always find some new experience when we are there. This time it was the beautiful Brooklyn Bridge.
