I think that it shocked me that people took the blooklet and read it. I really thought people were going to throw it on the floor or in the garbage. It showed me that It took so long and it came out good. I didn't do this project for no reason.

This project took a long time to do. It took 8 hours a day 10 days. I was shocked when people was reading it. How much intrest they had. They were asking alot of question and i knew them.

When i was passing out the booklets and people took the time out to stop and listen to what i had to say, it felt good. Even now as i look and see the comments that people have left, It makes me feel like all the trouble and hassle was worth while. Doing this project helped me realize how much better and easier it is to learn when you focus on one thing and have hands on learning. One thing i didn't like was the disrespectful people on the bridge who wouldn't give us the time of day. I even found that i gave out more brochures when i got off the brooklyn bridge on the brooklyn side by giving it to people who were just passing the brooklyn bridge. I feel that every school should give this opportunity to the select few kids who need that extra push, because its really a fun way of learning. I personaly feel that i'd rather do hands on learning in groups focused on one thing leading up to an end result , like the one we had over the course of two weeks. Then sit in regular school for six week, doing the same exact material that you had during the school year only to get a grade on a paper. over all it was fun and i like it.

today went a lot better than i thought it was going too. I think that we pick the perfect time to go on the bridge, because the people that we mostly talked to were tourist, instead of just everyday commuiters. That really helped for our confidence level in giving out out the first few pamplets. As I look now at the few people who posted a comment, it seems like all of the work that we put into this project paid off. By talking to the public, it really showed how much i learned about the Brooklyn Bridge, and how i can share that with others. In the end i thought that all of our hard work really paid off, and i think that i wont forget walking on the Brooklyn Bridge, because eventhough i live in New York, i don't find myself walking on bridges too often.

I think it was cool that we went to the brooklyn bridge, but most of the people didn't even think to here what we had to say.Other then that it was great and the people who did take it seemed really excited.I am still shocked that people were mean. Why did they not just respond in a polite way.I also think I got a lot out of this experaince.

It was a good summer school project that we did. One of the things i'll remember the most is building the bridge. When we walked on the bridge and handed out those brochures it was nice, but some of the people walking across were rude. Thats something that will always happen so it didnt get me mad too much. I think that every school should have a summer school program like this one.

I really enjoyed our summer program. It was very fun as well as informative! The 9 days just flew by. I think this program should replace ordinary summer school. I feel that, no matter what your learning style is, it is incorporated in this program. It offers hours of learning, fun and freedom!
Friday was my very first time walking over the Brooklyn Bridge, and I will remember it forever. It was really fun to pass out the informative brochures and see people actually reading them. It made me feel good to be able to answer questions about the brochure as well as the bridge itself.

The past two weeks truely were a great experience, thanks for the opportunity!! =]

During the walk on the bridge it was hard to get some people to stop and listen. As I was handing out the booklet people stoped and ask me questions on the book. Some of the questions were about the mom poem and others were about the math work. As I kept walking I saw people read the booklet. I think the Experience that i had was a good one. I think that summer school should be like this every year.
The trip that we should take next summer is to Coney Island. Over there we can do all the subjects and have fun at the same time.

Walking on the brooklyn bridge was a first for me. I have been on the before in a car. On the way to the bridge on friday i was thinking that alot of people are going to just ignore us. when we got there i was alittle nervous just going up to strangers and telling them alittle somthing about the booklet, school and the program. When i handed my frist book out after that it was easy handing out the rest. That friday was fun i got to hang out with some of my friends and it was the last day. Overall the summerschool program was fun.

During the 10 day summmer program we all worked in the subject areas we needed credits on. We all got to learn many things that we didn't know about the Brooklyn bridge. We also had to create a model bridge and we all worked together to make our models come out good and understand the process on constructing one. Then we had to find out information about the bridge in a certain subject area. We had to put this together in order to teach our readers things that they didn't know about the bridge.

On the last day. I took my first trip across the brooklyn bridge.Besdie it being hot the time was fun and I enjoyed my time with my friends. It was diffrent for me to have to talk to people who were crossing over the bridge. It would have been more fun if the people would have talk to us a liltle more about the pamphlet. Overall I enjoyed myself.

i have to say that my expectations for our summer school trip to the Brooklyn Bridge weren't very high. i've seen people take brochures from others, take a quick glance and then just throw them on the floor without even thinking about it. I was afraid that people would do the same to us, but to my surprise many people were actually interested in our project & not only did they take the brochures but they stayed and listened to what we had to say about our experiance and they even began to asked questions. I was so happy to see that people actually cared about our brochure, and what we had to say. Walking across the Brooklyn Bridge is an experiance that i will always have to look back on, the weird thing is now when ever i pass a bridge ill say to the people i'm with "hey! do you know that the bridge your looking at right now is a suspension bridge, etc." i go on talking about what i learned in summer school and the people i'm with then get that knowledge of a suspension bridge that i now have. Before summer school i would pass bridges, look at them and then just turn my head. I never realized the real beauty, and hard work that was put into it building one. I'm walking away from summer school, and my trip to the Brooklyn Bridge with knowledge, experiance, and memories. All in all those 2 weeks were definatly worth while.

Myexperience crossing the brooklyn bridge was a once in lifetime thing because I would never do it again. It was very hot and the walk was very long.i alomost fainted so this event was not good, but it was very educating. After I crossed I felt a sense of acloplishment. I really enjoyed the program and I would love for regular school to be like this.

I thought the experience was ok. The reason why the experience was ok because going up to people to talk to them about the project was difficult. They walked away but overall everything else was good.

I have to say my expectations for our summer school trip to the Brooklyn Bridge weren't very high. I've seen so many people take brochures from the people who are handing them out and take one quick glance and then throw them on the floor without even thinking about it. I was afraid that people were going to do that us and i didn't want that to happen. My teachers, classmates, and I put
a lot of time and hardwork into those brochures and bridge models that it would have been almost devasting to see someone do that. When we got there I was surprised to see just how interested people really were in what we had done. People were taking the brochures, reading them, and even asking us questions about our summer school experiance and the Brooklyn ridge. The trip was exciting, I couldn't believe I was actually walking across the Brooklyn Bridge! It was a memorie I will always have to look back on. All in all the whole 2 weeks i spent working on both the model and the bridge were definatly worthwhile. I learned a lot of things that would have never even cross my mind & now i even catch my self when i cross over bridge telling the people i'm with "hey! do you know what that is? well i do, its a suspension bridge, etc" i go into the details and the knowledge i've taken in from summer school other people are quickly aware of. Although i hated getting up early and going
to school, i would take back those 10 days. I got to go to the Brooklyn Bridge on a summer school trip! Now honestly, how many kids you know get to do that?!

when working on this project i really enjoyed myself and i leaned alot of thing that i did not know about. and after this program i talked about bridges alot and about the cassion to the point that my sister was getting annoyed but happy that i learned something. the other day me and my family was crossing some kind of bridge and i was mad hype to tell them (more my little niece who was the only one paying me mind)about the bridge and the different types of bridges.
when handing out the booklets i was happy that people was really reading what i wrote and what my class mates wrote. there was people who when we was handing out the books being a little mean (how can they say no to us :-{) and not taking the time to read our booklets that we worked hard on... but hey there are stubborn people what can we do about that... nothing... and the best part about it was that my article was put in there.... how happy was i.... reall happy :-}

My husband and I were visiting NY city on July 14th and took a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. We were given the booklet made up by the students. Upon returning home to a small town in Ohio (5000 people) I sat down and read the booklet. It was very informative with lots of good info about the consturction of the bridge. I can say I enjoyed everything about the booklet. What a great project and what an incredible job the students did with this. We were most impressed.
We come to NY city at least twice a year to visit our oldest daughter who lives there and we always find some new experience when we are there. This time it was the beautiful Brooklyn Bridge.

This summer school program has actually been a positive effect for my summer. After a long day of working and completing my assignments not only did I feel good but when i got home i felt proud of myself because i started to notice that i can do something when i put my mind into it. Now i know in september im going to do alot more work and focus more in school. But this project was really fun to do, i had a great experince with my teachers. I never knew that the teachers can be so cool, its like i actually concidered them as a friend and that feeling was so unforgettable. The way the all teachers were showing all the students love, the way Ms.Oneil bought all of us PiZza<. I will never forget that, the way i used my cell phone infront of her, the way i had my mp3 all out infront of her, the way i gave her a bottle of water and also a bag of chips, there was no words to describe those feelings. I just wish we all could of had like a BBQ or a pool party because it felt like a family i mean we were all a family. But eventually all happy things have an ending to it. But hopefully the students and the teachers dont forget about the love that we were all having. LETS GO MONTESSORI. LETS GO METS. Thank you teachers for everything, thank you for everything i really mean it, ill see you guys in September enjoy your summer take care and god bless.

even though i had my ups and downs during this summer program, i still loved being there with the montessori community and working on and actually being able to visualize and experience the brooklyn bridge. i know that whenever i cross it, i am always going to remember the montessori community and the hard work we all put in to finish our summer school project. the most i liked of all was building the brooklyn bridge out of sticks and glue. that was also a great experience. working on the brooklyn bridge with my montessori school mates, not only makes it school, but it makes it fun as well because there are different ways for us to learn every subject other than looking through textbooks all day. and being that it was only for two weeks, i am now able to enjoy my summer. I'M FINISH!!!!!
